The picturesque town of Karystos in Evia island, Greece

The area of Karystos, at the southmost part of Evia island, is located opposite the eastern coast of Attica, making it an easily accessible destination all year round.

The ports of Agia Marina and Rafina are 30 and 20 minutes away from Athens Airport respectively, and the routes are very frequent.

The journey by boat from Agia Marina to Nea Stira lasts 40 minutes and after an enjoyable 35-minute drive you reach Karystos.

From Rafina, the journey to Marmari port lasts 60 minutes. The drive from the port to Karystos is only 10 minutes.

The small coastal town of Karystos is surrounded by many small, yet pretty villages where you can buy local fresh produce or enjoy fresh fish dishes at the local tavernas.

Magnificent beaches are found all around the gulf of Karystos and can be reached in minutes by car or boat.

The unspoilt nature of the island is ideal for walking, trekking or mountain climbing!

Yet, if one misses busy town’s lifestyle, the journey to the centre of Athens lasts less than two hours.
