The small coastal town of Karystos is opposite the eastern coast of Attica, making it an easily accessible all year round.
The ports of Agia Marina and Rafina are 30 and 20 minutes away from Athens Airport respectively, and the routes are very frequent.
The journey by boat from Agia Marina to Nea Stira lasts 40 minutes and after an enjoyable 35-minute drive you reach Karystos.
From Rafina, the journey to Marmari port lasts 60 minutes. The drive from the port to Karystos is only 10 minutes.
Karystos is surrounded by many small, pretty villages where you can buy local fresh produce or enjoy fresh fish dishes at the local tavernas.
Magnificent beaches are found all around the gulf of Karystos and can be reached by car or boat.
