Location:
The town of Volos, with all amenities, is about 45 minutes drive while the Pelion Ski resort at Hania is halfway to Volos.
Volos can be reached by air (via Athens and directly in summer), train (Athens or Thessaloniki) and by ferry (Pireaus, Thessaloniki). During the summer, one can also fly to Skiathos island, which is very near and take the ferry to Volos.

Agios Ioannis lies on the Aegean shores of Pelion under the majestic green of the mountain. In early 20th century, it started out as a little fishing village but, during the last few years, it has developed into a well organised resort with good accommodation and many tavernas, restaurants, cafeterias, bars and pubs. Most of them are found along the promenade, on the other side of which lies a lovely shingle beach. Within comfortable walking distance, there are two more excellent beaches, Plaka to the north and Papa Nero to the south.
Stone-paved tracks and paths connect Agios Ioannis with other villages in the area.
