Easy Greek recipes to try at home
Here,
we will be featuring some tried and tested Greek recipes - most of them
adapted to suit today's busy lifestyles. Go on, have a go! You can also
send us your own favourite recipes to add, or ask us to feature particular
Greek dishes that you would like to cook.

Tzatziki (V)

Preparation time: about 20 minutes

Ingredients:
- one
large cucumber
- one large pot of Greek Yogurt (500gr)
- fresh garlic crashed or garlic powder (to taste)
- mint or dill
1.
Cut the cucumber in half, peel it and grate it coarsely.
2. Leave it in a sieve to
drain (the longer the better).
3. In a bowl, mix the cucumber
with the Greek yogurt and the garlic. If you use fresh garlic, try first
with 4 cloves - if you use powder, use a teaspoonful. Next time you do
it you can adjust the garlic amount for a stronger or milder flavour.
4. Mix some finely chopped
mint or dill (not both at the same time!). You can half
the Tzatziki quantity and try both to see which one you like best.
5. Keep chilled until serving
time. Serve with warm pitta bread as an appetiser or to accompany barbecued
meats.
